A dog and owner sharing a warm, unposed moment together
Why We Exist

Built for the ones who can't tell us how they're feeling.

Pet Theory was created around a simple belief: the better we understand our dogs, the better we can care for them. We're bringing together technology, data and veterinary expertise to help dog parents better understand the everyday patterns their dogs can't explain themselves.

Early Research & ReflectionFounding Moments
Our Story

It started with a simple question. What if we could understand our dogs better?

[Input Required from Pet Theory]The personal moment or experience that sparked Pet Theory: who noticed the gap, what dog or situation made it real, what it felt like not knowing what was wrong.

We kept coming back to the same gap: dogs give us so many small signals, but most go unnoticed until something is already visibly wrong. We didn't think that was good enough.

[Input Required from Pet Theory]Why the founders specifically felt there had to be a better way, and what made this the moment to build it.

That question—what if we could understand our dogs better, every day, not just when something's wrong—became Pet Theory.

The Journey Ahead

Pet Theory won't stop here.

We're starting with a collar. We're starting with dogs. But our vision goes much further. We want to keep learning, researching and building better ways to understand the animals we love — turning the things they can't tell us into information that helps us care for them better. The first Pet Theory is just the beginning.
